Stayed at this resort for 2 weeks in Dec./06 and the food was NOT terrible. At that time, the hotel was not fully opened so only ONE buffet was open. At the end of our vacation they were ready to open the 2nd buffet, so if they did not have enough staff to run the kitchen maybe that is why the food was horrible for some people who travelled after this time.We found if you were patient with the staff, asked politely for things you got them. We never had a problem when we were there because we showed respect, brought tons of gifts, tipped well and remembered that they move on Mexican time. We did hear & see people acting rude & unkind to the workers. YES they were short-staffed during our vacation so if we needed something that we could get ourselves we did. Travellers must remember that these workers ARE NOT YOUR PERSONAL SLAVES while you are on vacation. They are people like you & me that work hard for a living getting paid $4.00 a day. Please show some RESPECT & KINDNESS to these wonderful people. God Bless & have a great vacation.  |

I had friends there in late Feb. and they were very pleased witht the resort, especially the food.
